Buying Guide for Somier
When shopping for a somier, there are several factors you should consider to ensure you find the best option for your needs.
1. Material
Somier frames can be made from various materials such as wood, metal, or a combination of both. Wooden frames offer durability and aesthetic appeal, while metal frames are often more lightweight and easy to assemble.
2. Type
There are primarily two types of somier: slatted and solid. Slatted somiers offer better air circulation and flexibility, while solid somiers provide a firmer sleeping surface.
3. Size
Somiers come in various sizes to match your mattress, including twin, full, queen, and king sizes. Ensure the somier dimensions align with your mattress for the best fit.
4. Weight Capacity
Always check the weight capacity of the somier to ensure it can support you and your mattress effectively.
5. Assembly
Consider whether you prefer a somier that comes fully assembled or one that requires some assembly, as this can significantly affect your overall experience.
6. Price
Prices can vary widely based on size, material, and brand. Set a budget before you start shopping to filter through options effectively.
